Wireless microphones get used in blocks: a session runs, cells come out, fresh ones go in, the used ones charge for the next session. The number that actually matters is how many cells a venue keeps in rotation, because that sets the number of charger slots you need.
Our eight-slot charger exists for exactly this. Pair it with AA Ni-MH cells and an operator can see at a glance which slots are done. If the venue runs more than eight channels, plan on multiple units rather than stretching one.
Runtime should be tested at the transmitter's own load, with the gain settings the venue actually uses. A bench figure will be optimistic.
Inputs for a supplier brief
- Tell us the transmitter model and how long a session runs
- Count the cells in daily rotation to size the charger
- Check the ready indicator is readable from across a room
- Test a full changeover cycle before you roll out
