Our 1.5V Type-C AA, AAA and 9V cells and the CR123A are lithium, and lithium is regulated when it ships. Those consignments need a UN38.3 test summary, a current safety data sheet and packing information matched to how the goods travel. Air freight is stricter than sea.

Our Ni-MH cells, carbon zinc and alkaline are not subject to those rules. If your first order is Ni-MH and carbon zinc, the shipping paperwork is ordinary export documentation.

Tell us the model and the mode of transport at quotation and we prepare the set for that configuration. It is worth doing early, because the answer sometimes changes which model is the sensible choice for a given route.

Use this checklist

  • Lithium: Type-C AA/AAA, 9V and CR123A
  • Not regulated: Ni-MH, carbon zinc, alkaline
  • Documents follow the pack configuration and the mode
  • Raise transport at quotation, not at booking
